Our Story

Terrace Potscapes was founded by two friends, Katherine Taylor and Brooke Harris.

Katherine’s love of flowers started at a young age making small arrangements with flowers, plants and berries she foraged from around the huge pecan tree in her parent’s front yard. In 2012, she turned her love of flowers and plants into a home based floral business, Studio 421 Floral Design.

Brooke’s passion for gardening began at her childhood home in the Brookside area of Kansas City. She and her siblings would spend hours playing in her parent’s beautiful gardens. These gardens are still a sight to be seen today! Now, as a mom of 3 active kiddos, part time preschool teacher and involved volunteer in her church and school, she loves spending time with nature to unwind.

Katherine and Brooke designed a few planters for friends and family in 2018 and the business took off. Previously, they worked under the Studio 421 business, but decided to branch out and form their own company together. They are friends, moms, neighbors, and plant lovers who have combined their passions for creating beautiful outdoor planters and potscapes.
